My oldest son, Noah will be eight in September. Two days after his 5th birthday he asked Jesus into his heart. About a year later, he wanted to have communion. We had been talking about the last SUPPER, and how Jesus BROKE the bread before giving it to the disciples, and Noah wanted to participate in this special time at church. When the "bread" came around, Noah's eyes were huge with astonishment. He leaned over and whispered, "THAT"S IT? Well I can't break this; it's tiny!" I explained to him that it is simply a symbol of what Jesus did, and he seemed to reluctantly accept that. He still was thinking along the lines of a supper though, because he leaned over and said, "Well, when do we eat it? I'm starved." A few months later when he was in "big church" with us again he wanted to know if we would be having "that tiny bread and that juice." ~ Elaine in Virginia
The last three kids' quotes are from our children when they were two years old, to encourage you to send more to include in Heart to Heart. Ladies, kids' quotes don't have to be recent ones to send in for Heart to Heart! - Lois
When our daughter, Joy, was two years old, she was "reading" a book, The Day You Were Born to her well-worn doll, Amy. Then Joy got up from reading and said, "Your mommy be right back!" Then she gave her doll a big hug and said gently, "It's alright, Amy. I love you!"
When I got the mayonnaise from the refrigerator, my 23 month old son, Jeff said, "Baby cream!"
At age two when Jamie saw me cooking with fresh parsley, he shouted, "Brocc-a-lonie!"
