A Newborn's Conversation with God

A baby  asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to  earth tomorrow, but how am I going to  live there being so small and helpless?"   

God said, "Your angel will be  waiting for you and will take care of you."  

The child further inquired, "But  tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to  be happy."

God said, "Your angel  will sing for you and will also smile for you.  And you will feel your angel's love  and be very happy."

Again the  small child asked, "And how am I going to be  able to understand when people talk to  me if I don't know the language?"  

God said, "Your angel will tell  you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much  patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."  

"And what am I going to do when I  want to talk to you?"

God said,  "Your angel will place your hands together and  will teach you how to pray."  

"Who will protect me?"  

God said, "Your angel will defend  you even if it means risking its life."  

"But I will always be sad because  I will not see you anymore."

God  said, "Your angel will always talk to you about  Me and will teach you the way to come  back to Me, even though I will always be next to  you."

At that moment there was  much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly  asked, "God, if I am to leave now,  please tell me my angel's name."  

God said, You will simply call  her, "Mom." 

January Is Sanctity of Life Month

Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries in Florida recently said on his radio broadcast, "One hundred twenty-six thousand (126,000) murders are committed each day in the United States.  It's called 'abortion!' "  He went on to say how across globe, more babies' lives have been taken through abortion, than the number of all the lives lost in every war throughout the history of the world!  Just think about that!

Kurt Dillinger, President of Life International in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was a guest on the Focus on the Family radio broadcast today, January 19, 2006.  He told how prayer helped turn one abortion clinic into a pro-life ministry.  Go to www.family.org to hear this broadcast.  Write "radio" in the search block.  Friday will be a continuation of this broadcast.

Today Kurt Dillinger reported, "There are 210 million preborn children conceived every year on record.  Of those 210 million around the globe, 51 million are aborted for no other reason than they are a burden."  So one fourth of all babies conceived are wiped out - never even given a chance to see the light of day here on earth.  God has them in the palms of His Hand now though, and I pray each of those parents and grandparents will join those precious babies in heaven someday, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  At the end of the story mentioned below, The Price Tag of Love, you can read how to be sure you are on your way to heaven.

Focus on the Family is in a fight to save as many innocent unborn lives as possible, by supplying the technology of ultrasound equipment to Pregnancy Resource Centers across the country.  A relatively new effort named "Option Ultrasound," began in 2004 and by the end of 2005, they estimate that 4,000 babies have been saved through this ministry!  That's because when a woman sees her baby on the ultrasound screen, it has a tremendous impact - an impact greater than anything else.  In fact, over 80 percent of those women change their mind and decide to give life to their child, after ultrasound is used as a tool to save babies!

I have met this genuine servant of the Lord, and she is a gem!  She was receiving Heart to Heart way back, maybe six years ago, and when she came to visit her sister, who happens to live near me, she arranged for us to meet.  We all got together and had a most wonderful time of fellowship!

Almost Wasn't Born

In a letter to the "Wall Street Journal," quoted in Feb. 1990, "Reader's Digest."

        Charles McCarry can claim a varied career. In addition to being the author of "The Tears of Autumn" and "The Last Supper," he served as assistant to the Secretary of Labor in the Eisenhower cabinet and has done two stints in the CIA. But he almost wasn't born.
         Says McCarry, "My mother became pregnant with me at the age of 39. She had nearly died while giving birth to my only sibling. Her doctor, who believed the second pregnancy was a serious threat to her life, advised an abortion. The advice made sense but my mother refused to accept it. Just before she died at age 97, I asked her why. She replied, "I wanted to see who you were going to turn out to be."

Snowflake Adoptions Hailed

Thoughts of An Unborn Child

Mommy keep me safe,
Mommy keep me warm,
Handle me with all your love,
Mommy keep me from harm.
I'm only six weeks old today,
This birthday gift to me,
A pair of bright blue eyes,
That someday you will see.
I've barely got ears,
A little puppy nose,
And at the end of my feet,
Little things called toes.
Looking forward to my life,
Toys, Teddy bears, snails, and long fairy tales.
Where are we going, Mommy?
In a bath, on a bus ride or, perhaps far away?
Where are we going being pushed at all force?
How funny it feels passing through doors,
People dressed in green,
If they hurt you, Mommy, just scream.
What's happening, Mommy?
I'm starting to cry,
Mommy, come quickly!
They're making me die!
Killing me quickly,
Pulling me apart,
Everything inside of me,
Even my heart,
Bye Mommy, good-bye.
But how I wanted to see
The grass, the trees,
Hear a sweet song,
Feel a sweet breeze.

Bye Mommy. Good-bye.
I love You.   I really do. 
I just wish you could love me too.

January Is Sanctity of Human Life Month

Since the Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade in 1973 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roe_v._Wade), more than 45 million unborn babies have had their lives snuffed out through abortion.   During the last five years, however, potentially as many as 63,000 babies have been saved, thanks to Focus on the Family's Option Ultrasound Program (OUP).   Read the article:

Snowflake Babies

On October 28, 2009, a beautiful story of the birth of the first Snowflake Baby, adopted as a frozen embryo and successfully given life, was shared on the Focus on the Family broadcast.  Baby Hannah is now almost eleven years old, but you can hear her as a very young child, speaking of being a Snowflake Baby.  Since that time, many babies in the embryonic stage have been adopted by couples wanting to have children.  Babies' lives have been saved while couples build their own family, including one or more of these cherished frozen embryos that might have been used for research!  Go to www.focusonthefamily.com or do an Internet search (Snowflake Babies - Focus on the Family) to learn more.  You can listen to the podcast of that broadcast there.
