Scripture Rings

by Shannon Long ~ Used by permission
http://www.swtblessings.com/2011/04/scripture-rings.html

My sweet friend Susan asked me to make some scripture rings
for a retreat she and two other ladies are hosting this weekend.

 The retreat is a very special retreat-
only for those mothers who have lost children
 and I was honored to do something to help.

 Although a tad time consuming,
these are super easy to make and a great way to
share scriptures with someone.

Here's how to make them:

1. Print out the scriptures
 {see printables below or make your own using a business card template}
and cut them out.

2. Cut out scrapbook paper into rectangles a
 tiny bit larger than your scripture cards.
I used a different kind of paper for each verse.
{I used a paper cutter and it was much faster!}

3. Glue the scripture cards on top of the scrapbook rectangles.

4. Take the string off of the tags
{I used these tags}
and glue the scrapbook rectangle in the center of the tag.

5. Take a book ring and put thru the hole in a set of tags.

6. Grab a few pieces of ribbon and tie to the ring
and you are done.

These are awesome to put on your desk,
in your purse or to give as a gift!

Fear/Anxiety Scripture Ring

by Shannon Long - Used by permission

http://www.swtblessings.com/2016/05/fearanxiety-scripture-ring.html#.VzM2PuRbf-O

I LOVE scripture rings and just about always have some in my purse or on my desk in case I
(or someone around me) needs the comfort of some Biblical wisdom.

In fact I gave a set away to a friend today who is having surgery soon
and dropped another set in the mail for a friend who is going through a difficult time.
(I even have a few sets in my ETSY store here & here  and here if you'd like to purchase some!)

Based on the feedback from the May Scripture Writing Plan,
there are LOTS of us that struggle with fear and anxiety!
So I decided to take one or two verses from each day and turn them
into some printable scripture cards.

There is a card for each day of the month
and there are 8 per page for a total of 31 cards and 1 blank card.

I just cut mine out, punched a hole in each one,
and used a binder ring to hook them together.
I also tied it with a ribbon because it makes it super easy to grab in a purse-
and it looks cute!
You can find the PDF of the verse cards HERE.

Looking for Scripture Writing Plans?

I'm currently working on updating my monthly Scripture Writing Plans and having them translated into Spanish. As I complete each one I'll be adding it to the folder HERE. Thank you!

Simplicity in Happiness

by Promise Cook ~ Used by permission

When my husband, Jeremy, was little he collected rocks...so do both of our girls, Annabelle (10) and Charlotte (4).  I have jars full of rocks!  A lot of the gravel from my driveway is also in jars in my house because it was a "really pretty rock!"  The other day Jeremy brought home this rock from work and gave it to me.  It made my day!  Life isn't as complicated as we make it...it's really very simple to be happy where you are with what you have and to share your joy with others, even if it's as simple as a heart-shaped rock.
