- I have been so blessed to be married to John since August of 1968. He worked for forty-three years as a mechanical engineer, and designed the first HVAC system for Monticello in the early 70's, but we're a retired couple now.
We have three married children (a daughter and two sons) and six grandchildren (four grandsons and two granddaughters).
A bit about my background:
After graduating from a Christian university with a major in home economics, a minor in education, and almost a minor in art, I taught elementary school as a full-time floating substitute and later high school home economics for a short time, before working at Penn State University as an Assistant Food Service Supervisor for several years. But being a stay-at-home wife and mother has been the joy of my life since the birth of our first child. I use my college education every single day.
Then after almost sixteen years of sending the newsletter, after the retirement of my husband, I passed it on to a new and younger editor, Michelle Gill, who took it on for two years.
If you would like to follow topics from past Heart to Heart Newsletters and more information since they are no longer sent out, please follow my two blogs, which are more like websites.
Most newsletter contents have been added to the main blog, along with additional information and ideas.
Other creative avenues that I find enjoyable are photography, sewing, quilting, machine embroidery, crafts, and making handmade cards from some of my photographs.
We visit our children and grandchildren as often as possible, and I love spending time with each one. The fact that our granddaughter loved to learn how to sew since she was five is *sew* exciting to me, and we have such fun together as I teach her! We've even had weeks of "Sewing Camp," creating many projects and a sewing notebook, and she has her own sewing machine now!
I thank and praise the Lord for entrusting me with the Heart to Heart ministry since 1999. I give Him all the glory, as I strive to serve Him faithfully the remainder of my life - to finish well.
I am looking forward to meeting each one of you ladies as you come up to me and introduce yourself to me in Heaven someday! What a wonderful time we will have!
Please "Be There!" Check the "Salvation" tab on the right to be absolutely sure that you have your free ticket for eternal life in heaven!
